Terry Fox Exhibit at the Royal BC Museum

Visit the Terry Fox Exhibit at the Royal BC Museum:  April 12 – October 01, 2017

Budget Rent A Car, Victoria is pleased to recommend everyone take time while they are in Victoria to visit the Terry Fox Exhibit, now at the Imax Theatre/Royal BC Museum.

Terry Fox was a remarkable young man and a legend in Canada.  Terry was from Port Coquitlam, BC and lost part of his right leg to bone cancer when he was just 18 years of age. Terry set out to run across Canada in 1980, in a “Marathon of Hope”.  Terry started his run across Canada in St. John’s Newfoundland, however his cancer returned part way through and he was forced to stop his run in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

Terry’s tremendous courage allowed him to raise both awareness and money for  Canadian Cancer Society.  We, as Canadians, all pay tribute to Terry for his incredible  journey and his character which impacted the hearts of everyone he touched.  The success of his Marathon of Hope has continued on and $650 million has been raised for cancer research.
